Príncipe de Pombeiro

Pombeiro da Beira

My boyfriend's family has lands in Pombeiro da Beira, north of Portugal. Right next to Arganil in Coimbra. The village is beautiful and small, surrounded by hills and vast pinewoods. Food is strong and tasty, well known for the Chanfana (delicious meat stew), and homegrown-vegetables.

This trip has given us a bag full of sweet figs and relaxation by the fireplace. Long walks through the woods and rock climbing in Reguengo do Fetal, making a trip up north to the family land always a pleasure.

João's Family Fig Tree

Bodhi: Name for the mystical tree under which legend says Gautama Buddha attained enlightenment, known as the sacred fig tree of India.
Bodhi (Sanskrit) (from the verbal root budh to acquire understanding, awaken)

if some days could last forever...

Sintra's coast line is one of the most beautiful locations in the world!

The mixture between beach and mountain gives this location an extra special scent of Nature.
Praia da Ursa, Praia da Adraga, Praia das Macas, Praia Grande, Azenhas do Mar,... from Cascais to Colares all the way to Ericeira, it won't be an easy task to visit all secret spots, but just google and where you find sand, you are almost certain there is a path down that will take you next to the ocean.

During summer, long sunsets, daylight untill 8.p.m. and warm weather, makes the perfect combination for a stroll, camping trip or a simple picnic dinner by the beach.
