Alfama's CleanUp

Soon we'll be leaving Alfama and this beautiful house.

This is by far the most beautiful house ever! I wish we could take it just like it is and place it in Paris or Bonn, since for the time being we really don't know were the destination will be!

The objective is to take only what will fit in our Van.
Now is the time to take away the old in order to give space for the new (probably upcycled)
Stuff to go:
Clothes and shoes - hers and his;
An infinity of creams and way too much bijouterie;
Climbing and Slackline Gear;
Cat;
Beloved kitchen pots and pans;
Oliva sewing machine and at least 5 boxes with craft/upcycle supplies;
Yoga Books and some other ones we cannot live without;

 ...
Oh god! All this won't fit the Van!
Better get selective!

13 June 2010

the end for some, the beginning for others

Picture of the after party of Santo Antonio Fest, event that celebrates the saint patron of Lisbon!
In June 2010 we were lucky enough to live in a ground floor historical house in Alfama, that enabled us to make our own stand.
We made our stand out of upcycled wood furniture and gave it a little twist by painting a tree on the fences of a building, waiting to be restored for ages!! (like many in Alfama)
We joined the traditional preparations and together with a couple of friends and our next door French neighbors from Loja 14.18 made a modern version of the St Antonio Fest!
